Crystal Fit Rolex® 1680 Old Model Plastic 25-127

I have purchased different 'non genuine' Rolex crystals from different companies and they all had issues like cyclops not centered over the date, big bevels, or simply not crystal clear. I'm not a watch repair guy but an original owner who will replace a crystal on my 1979 Sub 1680. This crystal from watchmaterial is as close to the genuine 1680 Top Hat I've found. Side to top of crystal is as close to 90 degrees is you can get with acrylic. This alone is the difference. You see the whole watch face as Rolex intended, full, right to the face edges. It also appears more clear, reflective and * *sparkely* *. Fit is perfect. Makes it feel and look (vintage) new! I'm going to order a couple spares to have just in case- really great price as well. If you have a vintage Sub 1680 and are looking for a as close to genuine Top Hat replacement crystal, this is a great choice. btw- I don't write reviews but I am that satisfied with it. This was my first purchase from watchmaterial, but not the last!

This is a great option for the genuine like look and fit. It sealed properly and the bezel ring fit over it snuggly. The magnifier cyclops is aligned directly over the datewheel, with genuine like magnification. Clarity is very good, slightly less than the genuine but excellent none the less. I saw no imperfection specs in the plexi under a 10x loupe. OD edges are not beveled and come straight up.
